Low Slope Roofing |
| Course Abstract: |
The information contained in this course should provide a basic understanding
of low slope roofing systems. Low-slope roof assembly construction is defined.
"Compact" and "Ventilated" roof designs are discussed. Various factors to be considered
when deciding which roofing system most completely meets the needs of a particular
facility are explored. Brief descriptions of various types of low-slope roofing
systems are provided; systems include PVC, EPDM, TPO, Built-up, and Modified Bitumen. |

| Faculty Bio: |
Mr. Russo has a BS in civil engineering and holds a nationally recognized professional registration as a Registered Roof Consultant (RRC). He has over 20 years experience in the architectural/engineering field as a designer and specifier of roofing and waterproofing systems. Mr. Russo has also served as an expert witness for construction litigation and arbitration pertaining to roofing replacement and roofing repairs, and has served on Consultant Advisory Committees for national roofing manufacturers. Mr. Russo has provided building envelope educational seminars to various industry related groups including facility managers, specifiers, and contractors.
